The Bender Family donated 17 pieces of property to Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity in 2000 and since then we have built 10 homes on the properties. The Virginia Avenue project was our first attempt at building in a (soon to be) historic district. By compromising on some of our normal building materials we were able to build two homes that fit very well in the neighborhood � much better than the dilapidated structures that were there before.
